About Me

My name is Julien Chen, and I am Japanese and Taiwanese-American. I was born in Santa Monica and have lived in LA all my life. Coming from an immigrant and single-mother household, I strive to help others through projects focusing on social service and education. In light of this, I have founded several social service and education organizations and clubs at my school. Other than that, I've worked at the California Science Center since last year. I'm in the Education Department, and my position is Floor Presenter. That means I lead the various educational shows and demonstrations at all the STEM-focused exhibits in the science center. Lastly, I am incredibly passionate about Software Development and its power to impact society, so I plan to major in CS in college.
