Monica, Marta, Telma and Susana arrived from Portugal for the Vedic Art course at our Adult Education Centre in June 2022. The teacher of the course, Minna Rajala, implemented the teaching flexibly in Finnish and in English. Vedic Art is a process-oriented art method for developing creativity and awareness through visuals. The course was planned to take place a couple of years earlier, but Corona interfered with the earlier plans. A similar course was not being organized nowhere else in Europe and our Portuguese guests were very happy when we finally got the course! "We will use the methods of Vedic Art in our own organization where we work with  mentally disabled people," says Susana.

Finnish hosts organized a visit for the ladies at the Jukantuva activity center, where different activities are offered to clients with developmental disabilities. The Portuguese were really impressed with the community work methods and comfortable spaces offered by the activity center in Lapua, and they received many new ideas for the development of operations to take home.
