My name is Joseph Escoto I am a History teacher with a passion for learning and exploration. Education is one of the most useful and beneficial tools an individual can acquire which is why I wish to make this tool available to as many as possible. I became a teacher because I know what it's like living and growing up in the streets of L.A and believe that a good caring teacher can truly change the life course of a child.
One of the most influential people which ignited the passion for learning in me was my 11th-grade History teacher Mr. Brown, he challenged his students to think beyond the here and now and treated us with respect and as people not just students.
I attended UCLA and earned my bachelor's degree in History and Political Science. I attended CSULA for my teaching credential. I attended all my K-12 in South L.A public schools as well.

Mi nombre es Joseph Escoto soy un profesor de Historia con pasión por el aprendizaje y la exploración. La educación es una de las herramientas más útiles y beneficiosas que puede adquirir una persona, por lo que deseo que esta herramienta esté disponible para la mayor cantidad posible. Me convertí en maestra porque sé lo que es vivir y crecer en las calles de L.A y creo que una buena maestra solidaria puede realmente cambiar el curso de la vida de un niño.
Una de las personas más influyentes que encendió la pasión por aprender en mí fue mi maestro de historia de undécimo grado, el Sr. Brown, desafió a sus estudiantes a pensar más allá del aquí y ahora y nos trató con respeto y como personas no solo como estudiantes.
Asistí a UCLA para mi licenciatura en Historia y Ciencias Políticas. Asistí a CSULA para obtener mi credencial de maestro. También asistí a todos mis K-12 en las escuelas públicas del sur de Los Ángeles.
