Narrative: Mr. MacDonald

Hello students, parents and guardians. I am Ryan MacDonald and am happy to serve as one of a team of two Integrated Math 3 co-teachers at LAPCHS. As a fully credentialed teacher with six years of teaching experience I am confident that I can help our 11th and 12th grade students succeed as math thinkers and problems solvers. This will be my third year with LA Promise, having moved over from the middle school this August. Prior to joining LA Promise I taught for four years at the high school level also in South LA.

While I definitely recognize the challenges of online instruction, I always enjoy working with students to become more confident in math. I believe this work will empower our students to be able to make more choices in their lives ultimately to become happier and healthier young people. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife.
