Interpreting Functions
Students will understand and be able to interpret the symbolism that represents a function, its domain and its range.
Graphing Functions
Students will learn key features of various functions but the functions that we will focus on graphing for this course are the Linear Function and the Exponential Function.
Transformation of Functions
Students will study the basic structure of a few Parent Functions and utilize the idea of Transformations to transform that said function to any similar function.
Expressions, Equations, and inequalities
Students will be able to tell the difference between an expression, equations and an inequality. They will learn to use Forward PEMDAS for simplifying expressions and Backward PEMDAS to solve for an unknown variable in an equation. Moreover, students will have mastered how to graph inequalities on a 1-dimensional and 2-dimensional scale by the end of this unit.
Geometry
Students will start to look at congruence among segments and angles. Moreover, students will be introduced to the concept of proofs.
Geometry and Algebra
Students will be able to make correlations between Algebra and Geometry. In this unit, students bind everything that they have learned from the 1st and 2nd semester.
Statistics
This unit is planned to be given out heavily by the end of the school year but work that involves standards of this unit will be given through out the year.
