Fish House

Laporte Public School ISD # 306 will sell (1) one fish house by sealed bid.

The fish house is located at 315 Main Street West, Laporte MN 56461. If you have questions or would like to schedule an appointment to view the fish house during school hours call Stan Townsdin or Karri Kampfer at 218-224-2288. Photos and details are also posted on our Facebook page.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope by January 31, 2019 and clearly marked “BID FOR FISH HOUSE”. The minimum bid amount is $7,500. The successful bidder is responsible for all applicable sales taxes on the fish house which IS NOT INCLUDED in the minimum bid amount. Sealed Bids should be mailed, or delivered in person, to Laporte School 315 Main St W, Laporte, MN 56461. Bids will be opened in the School District Office on February 11, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.

Bids will be accepted by the school board at the February 11, 2019 meeting. Starting February 12, 2019, the selected bidder will have 30 days to remove the fish house. Costs to secure and remove the fish house are at the expense of the bidder.

The Laporte Public School Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any technicalities.

The Laporte High School’s Construction, Manufacturing, and Welding Trades classes have teamed up to design and build a fully-loaded 6.5 foot by 12 foot ice house with all the amenities a person would want to enjoy ice fishing. The ice house is built with a heavy duty steel frame with drop down axles. The house can be lowered or raised quickly with the hand cranks to get you fishing fast.
