If a student receives less than 70% on any assessment (major test, quiz, paper, or final exam), they must be allowed the opportunity to improve their grade on that assessment. The method in which content mastery is shown, will be decided through collaboration with the student and teacher (i.e. oral test, re-takes, presentation, project, etc.). Prior to taking an assessment for improvement, it is recommended that the student complete an assessment correction assignment, such as the
Quiz Test Corrective activity. The credit received for improvement tests, quizzes, or projects will be granted based on student growth and mastery. Improvement on assessments should be completed within 1 week of receiving the graded assessment, unless otherwise pre-arranged with the teacher.
