Welcome to Social Studies!
I'm Wendy Frans, and I’m thrilled to be your Social Studies teacher this year. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Bob Jones University and a Master’s degree in Education from Furman University.
As a Greenville native, I feel incredibly fortunate to live, work, and raise a family in such a vibrant community. I bring 24 years of teaching experience to the classroom, including 20 years in 5th grade, 3 years in a Science lab setting, and now my second year teaching middle school.
Teaching at Langston Charter Middle School is truly a joy. The school's commitment to character, community, and academic excellence aligns perfectly with my own values. I love the supportive environment, the enthusiastic students, and the strong sense of purpose that is felt in every classroom. Being part of the Langston family is both a privilege and a blessing.
My husband, Joel, teaches Math at Greer Middle College (GMC), where our oldest son, Durkin, is currently a senior. Our younger son, Porter, is entering 7th grade right here at Langston, so we are truly invested in this school in more ways than one!
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, walking, shopping, attending sports events, and exploring new places.
I'm excited about the year ahead and look forward to getting to know each of you!
