I am so excited for my 3rd year with the Langston family, and 14th year in Special Education overall. I am originally from the other side of the South, in Mississippi. I graduated with my Bachelor's in Education from Blue Mountain College, and then completed my Master's in Special Education at Arkansas State University. I've called Greenville home for 7 years now, and love living in this area with my 2 dog babies: Jaggers (12) and Honey (<1). I'm a proud Aunt Sissy to my niece, AnnaLeigh and nephew, Liam.
I come from a family of teachers as both my parents were career educators and my brother Chris is currently an Art teacher in East Tennessee. I decided early on to focus on Special Education due to the personal impact of having both of my brothers growing up with differing disabilities and the challenges that can present.
Langston inspires an inclusive community that leads every student to grow in their academic, social, and emotional abilities which I truly believe is vital to each individual's development. Giving students the chance to grow in their independence while giving them a supportive environment and safe place to learn is a joy as an educator.
