Principal's Message:

What a week!

Year 1 children attended Penshurst Place for their school trip, we have had our end of year class photos and the week had a fabulous end with our Sports Day. It was such an incredible day today with lots of great moments captured. We are so very proud of each and every one of our children for taking part with such commitment, resilience and comradery. It was so lovely to hear the school filled with shouts of support for each other.

The family picnic was also a great success and really shows what a wonderful community Langley Park is. I certainly felt very proud of LPPA today. A big thank you needs to go to Mr Humphrey for organising the event as he has worked tirelessly for weeks to get the children prepared and ready. We had a lot of children saying it was "the best day EVER"!! It was topped off with the parent and teacher races; I think they will be here to stay as a Sports Day tradition moving forwards!

Thank you for all of the wonderful messages that have been sent into the academy thanking us for today. We really should be thanking all of YOU as it couldn't have taken place without you! As parents, you brought the support, the atmosphere and the smiles and that means a huge amount to us all.

Thank you so much and have a great weekend.

Miss Brading

Office Reminders:

Year 6 Young Enterprise Project

A reminder that this will take place on Wednesday 5th July during the school day. Our Year 6 pupils have been working hard to create items to sell at school, such as milkshakes, smoothies, ice lollies, carnival-style games, arts and crafts, ice creams and marshmallow skewers as part of the Young Enterprise Project. We kindly ask that you consider supporting efforts and send your child(ren) into school with a maximum of £3 on 5th July.

Monies raised will go towards the Year 6 leavers party so that we can give them a good send off when they leave Langley Park Primary Academy for their chosen secondary schools in just a few weeks time!

Contacting the class teachers:

If you have concerns that you would like to raise with the academy, please do so via the office email address which is contactus@langleyparkprimaryacademy.org.uk. Upon receipt, your email will be directed to the relevant member(s) of staff.

We respectfully ask that you address any concerns or issues with your child's class teacher in the first instance. If it remains unresolved then your concern will then be escalated to Mrs McRobb, Vice Principal. In the unlikely event that it continues to remain unresolved, it will be escalated to Miss Brading at that point.

We are also aware that some parents continue to email staff directly. In the event that this happens, staff have been asked to forward your email to the aforementioned email address to resume communication via the correct channels.

Amino is a sprawling discussion forum with incentives for checking in each day and the facility to follow certain other users. Amino bears comparison to Reddit but with an added sprinkle of Snapchat and a Twitter twist. It may not be radically original but is proving popular nonetheless, and there are now more than one million communities of fans exchanging views on topics from anime to zombies.

The concept of Amino is to recreate the passion and excitement of live conventions in the online world - from behind their screens and keyboards - however, not everyone behaves as well as they might do in person. From hurtful comments to age-inappropriate images and predatory messages, the below guide highlights some potential hazards to protect children and young users from.
