Principal's Message:

It's Friday, and what a week it has been!

We have been very busy welcoming prospective parents to our academy throughout this week, offering tours and our Open Evening. Without exception, all visitors commented on how impeccably our pupils conduct themselves and are engaged in their learning. They were extremely impressed with our curriculum, learning environments and the children who supported the event as tour guides. I was extremely proud to be able to showcase our wonderful academy and to boast about how brilliant our children are!

Year 2 were out and about in the area for a local walk looking at different habitats. I know this has been really helpful in making their learning about habitats really relevant.

It was so lovely to see so many children getting into the "SPOTacular" spirit of Children in Need. It is an amazing cause to be involved with so thank you for supporting this.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Miss Brading

Office Reminders:

Thank you for all of the generous donations that we have received for the Christmas Fair on Friday 1st December, whether these have been raffle prizes, jam jars or offers of help at the event itself - all are appreciated.

On a similar note, next Friday your child is invited to take part in another non-uniform day in exchange for donations of bottles for the tombola stall. There will be tables outside the academy office on the morning of Friday 24th November for donations, please do not send these into classrooms with your child.

Thank you all once again for your support and we hope to see you for a mince pie or a warm turkey roll on the day!

Contacting the class teachers:

If you have concerns that you would like to raise with the academy, please do so via the office email address which is contactus@langleyparkprimaryacademy.org.uk. Upon receipt, your email will be directed to the relevant member(s) of staff.

We respectfully ask that you address any concerns or issues with your child's class teacher in the first instance. If it remains unresolved then your concern will then be escalated to Mrs Neame, Vice Principal. In the unlikely event that it continues to remain unresolved, it will be escalated to Miss Brading at that point.

We are also aware that some parents continue to email staff directly. In the event that this happens, staff have been asked to forward your email to the aforementioned email address to resume communication via the correct channels.

National Online Safety Guide

Your child may not be able to pinpoint its location on a map or be able to fully grasp the historical and political drivers behind such a conflict, but in this age where news, images and video can cross continents in seconds, many young people are now aware of the terrible recent events taking place in Israel. It is a situation that would of course cause children extreme distress and worry.

The guide below contains some valuable pointers for supporting children to deal with upsetting content they may encounter online, whether it's the attacks in Israel, ongoing worries over the environment or something else entirely. Our tips will assist trusted adults in helping young people to process any negative emotions that they may be feeling.
