Walking through the gates this morning, I was met with a truly wonderful sight: a sea of red noses and red clothes. Red Nose Day is always one of the highlights of our school calendar, however this year felt particularly special. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your incredible generosity and for the spirit you’ve encouraged in your children today.
It’s easy to see the noses and the laughter and forget the "why" behind the fun. The funds we raised together today go directly toward tackling poverty, providing mental health support and ensuring children across the globe (as well as right here at home) have a safe place to sleep and a meal to eat.
We will share the final total of our fundraising efforts in Friday’s newsletter once all monies have been counted!
Easter Raffle
This week, all children were sent home with raffle tickets that can be entered into our Easter Raffle Draw. Please consider supporting this by purchasing some raffle tickets and selling others to family, friends, neighbours and colleagues. There are a number of prizes up for grabs, including a fantastic Easter hamper! More raffle tickets can be collected from the academy office if needed.
Raffle tickets are £1 each. Please ensure that you write your name and contact number on the back of each individual ticket purchased. Payment should be made with cash or through My Child at School/Store and tickets should be handed into the academy office by Tuesday 31st March 2026.

With new kits, updated squads and refined gameplay, EA FC 26 brings the thrill of top-tier football to living rooms once again. Whilst it continues to offer family-friendly fun in modes such as Kick-Off and Career, the ongoing popularity of Ultimate Team - where players spend money to build fantasy squads - brings a mix of excitement and risks.
Children can encounter issues such as gambling-like mechanics, voice chats with strangers and potential exposure to scams. The below guide breaks down the game's most important features, highlights the key risks to be aware of and shares practical advice for helping young players stay safe while gaming and interacting online.
We respectfully ask that you address any concerns or issues with your child's class teacher in the first instance. If it remains unresolved then your concern will then be escalated to the Key Stage Lead and/or Mrs Neame, Vice Principal. In the unlikely event that it continues to remain unresolved, it will be escalated to Miss Brading at that point.
