As we come to the end of another vibrant week at the academy, I want to take a moment to reflect on the fantastic events and achievements we’ve shared as a school community.
Firstly, a huge congratulations to our Year 6 pupils who took part in Enterprise Week. Their creativity, teamwork, and entrepreneurial spirit were truly impressive. From designing products to marketing and selling them, the students showcased incredible maturity and innovation. It was heartwarming to see their confidence grow and I know many of them have discovered new strengths they didn’t know they had!
We also celebrated Sports Day, and what a wonderful day it was! The energy, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship shown by all pupils made it a day to remember. It was especially uplifting to see our wider school community come together in support. A special thank you to everyone who participated in the parents’ races—your energy and good humour made for a brilliant moment of fun and connection. The halftime performances were another highlight—our performers lit up the field with their talent and passion.
In academic news, we are delighted to share that our recent SATs results were excellent. The hard work of our students, alongside the dedication of our staff, has truly paid off. We are immensely proud of what the children have achieved and look forward to sharing more detailed results with you soon.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support. It is your involvement and encouragement that help make our school such a special place.
Wishing you a restful and sunny weekend.
There are still tickets available for our Music Festival which is taking place on Friday 18th July. This promises to be an amazing event! There will be various inflatables on site, including a 50ft army assault course, face glitter, sweetie stall, bottle tombola, a craft stall and the ever-popular Barrow of Booze raffle! There will also be hot food, an ice cream van, hot/cold drinks, alcoholic drinks and a Pimms stall at the event.
Just like last year, the Music Festival is being held to raise funds for Slide Away, an incredible charity that supports bereaved young people and their families before and after the death of a loved one. Slide Away relies entirely on grants and fundraising to offer this vital service and has supported a number of Langley Park pupils and their families in recent years.
Please do join us on the day - there will performances by Langley Park pupils and staff as well as other local artists and young talent.
A gentle reminder that After School Club will not be running on Friday 18th July and all children must be collected promptly at the end of the day, returning at 16:00 for entry to the Music Festival should you have purchased tickets.

iPads are now a familiar fixture in many households and classrooms, offering access to educational tools, entertainment and the internet in one sleek package. However, with great versatility comes notable risk. From accidental spending and data privacy breaches to excessive screen time, there is plenty for parents and carers to consider before handing over the device. Whilst Apple offers built-in safeguards such as 'Screen Time' and 'Family Sharing', these features must be correctly set up and actively managed in order to be effective.
The below guide walks you through these options and highlights some of the more surprising ways children can get around restrictions - including with Siri - whilst offering practical advice on how to help keep young users safe and healthy online.
We respectfully ask that you address any concerns or issues with your child's class teacher in the first instance. If it remains unresolved then your concern will then be escalated to the Key Stage Lead and/or Mrs Neame, Vice Principal. In the unlikely event that it continues to remain unresolved, it will be escalated to Miss Brading at that point.
