Whether your child is learning in a traditional classroom or working from home, getting children from all ability levels to focus and complete tasks can be challenging. All children benefit from strategies like repeating/rephrasing instructions, modified work (i.e., do the first 5, then take a 2 minute break), work standing or sitting, etc.
Take some time to watch the videos on the different pages of this site to see which strategies you can implement at home

My name is Angie Saenz-Valencia: School Psychologist at Joshua Elementary School.
As we prepare to take on the new school year via Distance Learning, I'm sure that many of us have questions regarding supporting our students at home. Along with our school counselor Mrs. Santacruz, I am also apart of the JO team that has compiled resources and information regarding Special Education, Behavior and Social-Emotional strategies and resources that are implemented in a traditional school setting in hopes that the same tools would be used to help your students at home.
