Scholarships are free money, and there is no need to pay this back. All you have to do is apply, and hopefully get selected. Did you know that you can get scolarships for sports, being left handed, or being the first generation student in your family to attend college? Pretty cool, right! The opportunities to get a scholarship are endless. Make sure you do your research, and talk to your high school college counselor to get help with this.
This is money that you can receive to pay for school, and it is based on your or your families income. You can receive Pell Grants, which do not have to be paid back, or you can receive Federal student loans, which you must pay back.
How To: Click on the college or university you'd like to learn more about. This will take you to their list of Academics that are offered at their university or college. If you chose to go to a college or university, you will be enrolling as an "undergraduate" which just means you have not already graduated from college. A "Major" is your primary focus of study. You can also get a "Minor" if you'd like to get a certificate or take additional classes. Know that your college and university options are endless, these are just a few options.
