United Friends of the Children is a support program that provides educational services such as tutoring, counseling, enrichment opportunities, and more, exclusively for foster youth within LA County. As a Scholar of our Education Program, youth receive one-on-one counseling on a month to month basis, in addition to access to our monthly events, which are either workshops, college visits, or community-based activities. Students can be referred by caregivers, teachers, counselors, social workers, therapists, and other adults who know the youth well. In addition, students can refer themselves. In the Antelope Valley, we are accepting referrals for students between 6th grade and 12th grade. Please visit our website for more information.”
