ILMS Dress Code

Indian Land Middle School Dress Code for the 2023-2024 school year.

DRESS CODE

Students should arrive at Indian Land Middle School ready to learn and this includes their dress. Students’ clothing must comply with the criteria set below.

1. Shorts/skirts must be long enough to extend below the extended fingertips of the wearer or two inches above the knee.

2. Shoes must have a hard sole, closed toes and a back/backstrap. Slippers, flip-flops and slides are not permitted. Crocs must be worn in sport mode. 

3. Pants cannot have holes above the knees which exposes the skin. 

4. Hats, hoods, bandanas, sunglasses are not permitted to be worn on the head. 

5. Clothing must not have offensive language, advertisements or images

6. Pants and jeans must be worn at the natural waistline. No undergarments exposed.

7. Shirts must have sleeves and cannot expose any undergarments. 

8. Shirts must fully cover the midriff, skin cannot be visible. If a student raises their arms and their midriff becomes exposed, this is not acceptable. 

9. Blankets and stuffed animals are not permitted at school.
