ABOUT THE ARTIST

Chris Welford is an accomplished juggler and circus performer who can wow audiences with impressive, technical juggling routines, comedy shows and dangerous circus stunts on unicycles and rolla bollas. ​

Growing up around circus skills, Chris has been performing for over 10 years as well as practising the circus arts and developing his skills as a hobby for his whole life. In 2021 he turned this passion into a full time career, providing juggling shows, fire displays, walkabout / roaming entertainment Surrey and circus skills workshops across the south of England for corporate events, schools, festivals, fetes, children's party's and more!

A high energy, high impact circus show. Combining high-level technical juggling with interactive comedy and Chris' unique charm and enthusiasm. Juggling everything from balls and clubs to knives, fire and even his hat. Not to forget, riding a unicycle as tall as him.

Busking Experience:

After performing street-style shows at numerous local festivals, I began busking in February 2023 in my hometown of Winchester. That summer, I took my show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, returning in 2024 and 2025, before performing at my first international busking festival in Wrocław, Poland in September 2025. Since then, I have continued to take my show to new places, busking in cities across the UK including Bath, Glasgow, and my now regular pitch at Covent Garden.

I currently busk three to four times a week alongside my booked gigs, sometimes returning to Winchester to enjoy the close connection of a smaller crowd, while also loving the large, energetic audiences found in Edinburgh and London. The spontaneity of street performance is what excites me most, and I never tire of building a crowd and bringing together a group of strangers to share a show they did not expect to see. I would love the opportunity to take my work to more countries and perform for new audiences around the world.
