Full description (for programmers):
Chinnen’s act is a high-impact street show combining rare fire skills, visual spectacle, and gentle, crowd-driven comedy. At the centre of the performance is his mastery of the fire rope dart, a long rope with a blazing fireball that sweeps, spins, and arcs through the air in hypnotic patterns. This demanding and uncommon discipline is rarely seen in street performance and delivers a striking visual experience that stops audiences in their tracks.
The fire sequences are balanced with comedy juggling, physical storytelling, and moments of playful interaction that keep the show accessible for all ages. Chinnen’s humour is largely non-verbal, allowing the act to work seamlessly across cultures and languages. His imperfect English becomes part of the charm rather than a barrier, reinforcing the clarity and universality of the performance.
Depending on the format, the show may also include elements such as juggling, balance work, and additional fire skills, all delivered with precision and warmth. The act can be presented as short feature sets or as a full street theatre show of up to 40 minutes, making it highly adaptable for festivals, outdoor events, and international audiences.
Chinnen’s performances combine danger and delight, intensity and kindness. Audiences leave amazed by the skill, laughing at the comedy, and feeling genuinely uplifted by the experience.
