Technology Education:
In Technology Education students will experience a wide range of activities based on STEAM (Science / Technology / Engineering / Art / Mathematics) Education. Students will be engaged in their learning by utilizing a combination of Tech Shop and the Tech Lab. During their years at Page, students can rotate through the STEAM based stations in the Tech Shop: Aeronautics, automotive design, Computer Aided Design, computer programming, plastics, architecture, bridge building, multi-media presentation, video game development, robotics, design build architecture, and drone school. In the Tech Lab, students will learn about digital literacy and responsibility, website development, and coding.
Meet the teacher:
Hi,
My name is Robert Gower. I am the Technology / S.T.E.A.M. Education teacher at John Page Middle School. Teaching is my second career; previously I was a project manager in the electrical contracting field. In 2008 I earned my bachelors degree in education from Oakland University. In 2012 I earned a graduate degree in bilingual/ bi cultural education from Wayne State University. What I really enjoy about teaching is watching my students get the chance to explore, build, analyze, and create in the Tech Shop and computer lab. I am always looking for ways to improve, both personally and professionally, so I can provide the best experiences for my students.
