Hello TCE Family,

Nessy and I are so thrilled to start our third year at Taylor Creek!  Last year was wonderful, and we are looking forward to another fun filled year! This will be my thirty-third year in education with 17 years as an elementary teacher, 4 years as an elementary principal and 11 years as a secondary principal!  My love is truly in elementary school, and I'm thrilled to have found my home at Taylor Creek Elementary School.

To tell you a little about myself, I am the mother of two beautiful adult children that both graduated from Angelo State University. Chase has three awesome children: Grace & twins, Powell & Amy ; Chase is a bank president for SouthTrust Bank; while Chelsea and her husband, Justin, live in Indiana, where she works for the federal government, and he is in technology. They just had their first child, Gwyn Elizabeth, on August 14th. I love to read, work in my yard and spend time with my family and Nessy!

We will see things pretty well stay the same as last year! Parents, you'll still receive the weekly newsletter in your child's blue folder on Thursdays. Our students will still attend a morning meeting on Mondays if they are in grades PK thru 2nd  and on Tuesdays for grades 3 thru 5.  We are excited to have a new assistant principal, Mr. Sheppard, who is joining us from Cove ISD and was also an elementary teacher! We are all truly excited about this new school year!

Your children did a fabulous job on their state assessments raising their scores again on the new state online version!!!  This is just amazing!  I can not tell you enough, how proud I am of our students!!!

The 23-24 year will be another exciting and challenging year for us, but we will continue to rise academically and soar to new heights!  So proud of our TCE students!!!
