Spanish 1:
Lampasas High School
Spanish 1 is taught using basic communication in the target language with English to supplement comprehension when necessary. Students will explore the Spanish language and culture. Students will be able to hold simple conversation in Spanish while incorporating culturally appropriate behavior. Fluency and language proficiency is not a viable expectation for 1st year language learning. Students will gain exposure to the Spanish language, acquire an appreciation, excitement, and understanding of the Spanish language and culture.

Proficiency in the Spanish language is not a viable expectation for a second year language program. However, students will increase their vocabulary development, listening comprehension, speaking fluency, and reading and writing capabilities. Students will gain exposure to the Spanish language, acquire an appreciation, excitement, and understanding of the Spanish language and culture.
