Taylor Creek Comprehensive School Counseling Program

History:

I grew up in a tiny South Texas town called San Isidro. It's so small that I had 18 people in my class from the age of 4 until I graduated. I grew up on a ranch until I went to college at Texas A &M University Kingsville. While there, I received my teaching degree and then began teaching 5th grade in Taft, Tx. During my first year of teaching, I decided that I wanted to be able to reach students on a different level. I went back to school to become a counselor and graduated in the spring of 2008. By that time, I had already moved to Kempner and begun working for Killeen ISD, where I worked for 13 years as a school counselor. I also worked for 2 years at Hanna Springs. In total, I have been a school counselor for 20+ years.

Family:

I have been married to my husband, Jason, for 21 years and we have three children, Kaitlynn (19), Tristan (18), and Jaxon (10). Jason works at with me at Taylor Creek and we are the proud parents to Taylor Creek's Mascot, Taylor. We also have 4 other dogs, 2 cats, and a bearded dragon.

When I'm not busy with my family, you can usually find me reading a science fiction book or visiting with my mom. I also like to do a lot of outdoorsy activities like walking, swimming, and biking.
