Welcome to 5th grade!

Hey there! My name is Kyndra Sewell and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year. This will be my 5th year teaching and my 4th year at Hanna Springs Elementary. As a Lampasas High School graduate (class of 2008), it is especially meaningful to have the opportunity to teach in the community that helped shape me.

I graduated from Tarleton State University in 2012, and that same year I married my husband, Stephen. Together, we have two wonderful boys, Weston-6th grade, and Bennett-3rd grade. When we're not at school, you could probably find us outdoors. We enjoy traveling, hiking, and exploring Texas State Parks-our family goal is to visit every state park in Texas! At home, we stay busy with our two dogs (Manny and Sadie), and tons of goats and sheep. 

I am passionate about creating a classroom where students feel safe, encouraged, and excited to learn. My goal is to challenge each student to grow academically while building confidence, responsibility, and a love of learning...with a few laughs along the way. I look forward to getting to know your family and partnering with you to make this an amazing and successful school year!
