BTC Bank Presidents Memorial Scholarship –
This $5,000.00 one-time scholarship was established to honor past presidents of BTC Bank and to help prepare the next generation of finance and agriculture leaders.
To apply, you must meet the following requirements:
High School Senior within the BTC Bank service area who has exhibited academic achievement.
Planning to enroll in a full-time course of study leading to a major in a field related to finance or agriculture.
Demonstrate achievement and high standards in academics, character, leadership, citizenship, and involvement in school and/or community activities.
Students must submit a 500-word essay. In 500 words or less, the student should discuss how they selected their intended field of interest or major.
BTC Area Youth Benefit Corp EverFi Scholarship –
This one-time scholarship will award three top applicants that have earned certification in the EverFi Financial Education Program provided to your school by BTC Bank.
First Place: $2,500 Second Place: $1,500 Third Place: $1,000
To apply, you must meet the following requirements:
High School Senior planning to attend an accredited 2-year, 4-year or vocational/trade school in the U.S.
Completed all seven modules of the Everfi Financial Literacy Program.
Be committed to using finance practice to better your life and that of your family and/or community.
Students must submit a 250-word essay. In 250 words or less, the student should discuss how completing the EverFi program will benefit you in college and thereafter.
This scholarship is designed for a female student who has demonstrated a well-rounded and sincere appreciation for her community, friends, family, and life-long learning.

The R.O.C.C.S. Scholarship is designed for a student who has demonstrated appreciation for their community through philanthropy, leadership and service. Please submit your typed answers to the following questions on the application form.

The Dr. Charles O. Snethen Scholarship is given to Lamoni High School students whose service to the community and potential for growth and change are best aligned with their future goals.
Amount: There will be at least one $500 scholarships awarded to Lamoni High School graduates attending a post-secondary school. This scholarship will be awarded in May at graduation with funds distributed the following January (beginning of the student's second semester).
Eligibility:
Candidates must have two letters of recommendation - one from an educator and one from an outside source (Not a relative)
Candidates must provide a high school transcript (7 semesters)
Candidates must have participated in extra curricular activities, service to the community or work experience
Candidates must provide documentation describing their goals and service to others. This documentation may be presented in the form of a 400 – 600 word essay, a poster presentation, a Power Point presentation or a short movie
Amount: $250 to two members of the senior class who plan on continuing their education past High School
Requirement:
Write an essay describing your academic history, service to school and community, and all leadership positions you have held or are presently holding.

Eligibility:
The student must be a high school senior going on to vocational school, community college, or a 4 year college
The senior must have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.00
The senior must have participated in and/or been supportive of extra-curricular activities in high school
The senior must have displayed good citizenship at school and in the community
The senior must have demonstrated community service in an attempt to help others

Two $1,000 scholarships is for Lamoni seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to academics and athletics during their high school career.

High School senior going on to community college or a 4-year college
Cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.00
Must have participated in athletics in high school
Must demonstrate financial need

The successful recipient will be a graduating high school senior from Lamoni Community School District who demonstrates:
Scholastic Aptitude
A minimum cumulative 2.75 GPA
Extra-curricular Participation
4 years of participation in extra-curricular activity, such as Athletics, Fine Arts, FFA, etc.
Commitment to Continued Education
The scholarship is to be used for post-secondary education at an accredited nonprofit, public educational institution in pursuit of a professional goal. The school may be a two- or four-year college or university or vocational program and the student must attend full time. The applicant needs to demonstrate that he/she is capable of succeeding in that educational pursuit and that this scholarship will help them in this endeavor.
One award of $500 will be given annually, provided directly to the educational institution in the fall semester and applied toward tuition. Please return applications to the counselor's office.
