Superintendent's Newsletter

February 2023

As the La Moille C.U.S.D. 303 Interim Superintendent, I continue to enjoy our students as they participate in a variety of activities that are offered in our fine school district.  From the exciting basketball games, engaging Ag activities, and amazing art projects to the interactive classroom lessons, our La Moille Schools offer our students an outstanding educational experience.

Another incredible accomplishment was recently announced!  Katie Shevokas, our school counselor, and a team of talented professionals from Arukah Institute devoted countless hours to write a school mental health grant to help students receive much needed social-emotional help.  With over 500 applications nationwide, our La Moille Schools and Arukah were successful in receiving this 6.8 million dollar grant!  There are seven participating districts in this grant, and hundreds of students throughout the Starved Rock Region will receive social-emotional services through this federal grant.  In La Moille, we are proud to be leading these efforts and are thrilled to collaborate with our area school districts.
