The Biblioteca degli Alberi is one of the most famous parks in Milan, designed by the Dutch designers Petra Blaisse and Piet Oudolf. It is the third most extended park in the whole city, following Parco Sempione and Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli.
Its English name would be "The Arboretum" and it means "tree library". All the circles in the park are meant to host different species of greenery, recreating as much biodiversity as possible.
It's the biggest pedestrian space in Milan, covering 10 hectars which host more than 450 trees of 19 different species and more than 90 thousand types of plants.
Its beauty immediately catches your attention; the colors, such as the green of the plants in contrast with the red and the blue of the circular areas, can be seen from high above, while at night the library hosts beautiful light games focused on geometric shapes.
A fundamental site for nature lovers!
