Chinatown

Once a reference area for the first Chinese immigrants to arrive in Milan, today Chinatown is the beating heart of the Chinese community living in Milan. It is also a very appealing and charming neighbourhood, populated by more than 25.000 Chinese, and filled with hairdressing salons, fashion boutiques, Asian silk stores, libraries, traveling agencies, traditional medicine centers, massage parlors, and a truly diverse range of restaurants and street food stalls.

This neighbourhood also hosts the Chinese New Year parade every year: during these days, the main street, via Paolo Sarpi, is adorned with hundreds of colorful festoons and the party atmosphere is in the air. Even though this area is incredibly able to bring everyone together, it is especially recommended for fans of Asia and the Far East.
