Hello Parents and Families,
My name is Ms. Liebhauser and I am the School Counselor and Anti-bullying Specialist at Spruce Street School. I was previously the school counselor at Piner Elementary and will begin at Spruce Street School for the 2023- 2024 school year. I started my education at Kean University where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and continued my education at Montclair State University where I earned my Master's Degrees in School Counseling and Educational Leadership.
I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, and going for a hike and embracing nature. Exploring new places and learning about different cultures, traditions, and trying new foods are a few of my passions. I am passionate in advocating for your child and helping them grow and become life- long successful learners.

Mi nombre es Sra. Liebhauser y soy la consejera escolar y especialista anti-bullying en la escuela Spruce Street. Anteriormente fui consejera escolar en la Primaria Piner y comenzaré en la Escuela Spruce Street para el año escolar 2023-2024. Comencé mi educación en la Universidad de Kean, donde obtuve mi Licenciatura en Psicología y continué mi educación en la Universidad Estatal de Montclair, donde obtuve mi Maestría en Consejería Escolar y Liderazgo Educativo.
Disfruto pasar tiempo con amigos y familiares, viajar, hacer caminatas y abrazar la naturaleza. Explorar nuevos lugares y aprender sobre diferentes culturas, tradiciones y probar nuevas comidas son algunas de mis pasiones. Me apasiona defender a su hijo y ayudarlo a crecer y convertirse en estudiantes exitosos de por vida.
Social-emotional learning (SEL) is the process of developing the self-awareness, self-control, and interpersonal skills that are vital for school, work, and life success. People with strong social-emotional skills are better able to cope with everyday challenges and benefit academically, professionally, and socially. From effective problem-solving to self-discipline, from impulse control to emotion management and more, SEL provides a foundation for positive, long-term effects on kids, adults, and communities.
