3/30/26 Vestaburg Game 1:

Buchner drove in four runs on three hits to lead Lakeview Varsity Wildcats past Vestaburg 16-7 on Monday. Buchner singled in the second inning, scoring two runs, and hit an inside the park home run in the seventh inning, scoring two.
Lakeview Varsity Wildcats won thanks in part to nine runs in the sixth inning. Singleton doubled, scoring two runs, Main singled, scoring one run, Pluskhat drew a walk, scoring one run, Castle doubled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, and an error scored two runs.
Lakeview Varsity Wildcats flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring five runs on one hit to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Buchner that drove in two.

Lakeview captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first after Main grounded out, and Veenema singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Lakeview flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring six runs on four hits to take the lead, 8-2. The biggest blow in the inning was an inside the park home run by Buchner that drove in two.
Lakeview extended their early lead with five runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Lemke, Veenema, and Skaggs.
Lakeview Varsity Wildcats tallied 15 hits in the game. Skaggs, the number seven hitter for Lakeview Varsity Wildcats, led the way with three runs batted in.
