Dave Denman ('71): State Champion in Shot Put; member of the 1970 State Champion Track Team .

Robin Hartman Wilson ('75): 1975 State Champion in 80 Yard Hurdles and School Record Holder 

Steve James ('75): 3-time State Champion in Discus; State Record Holder. All-State in Football.

Scott Snow ('70): 1970 State Champion in the Mile; member of three state champion teams .

Eric Stocz ('92): Multi-sport letter winner; played in the NFL for the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills, and Philadelphia Eagles .

Harlow Ward ('11) & Howard Ward ('13): Early track legends; Harlow tied the National Record in the 100 yd. dash, and Howard was a 1913 State Champion in multiple events .

Thomas Long (Coach): Head Football Coach who led Lakeview to its only 10-0 season .

John-Paul Stanislaw ('97): 1996 Trumbull County Football Player of the Year; holds records for longest punt and interception returns.

Kristen Best Janson ('86): A dominant four-year force, this state runner-up and record holder earned first-team honors annually while reaching eight state finals in the 100m and 300m hurdles

Judy Boylson Schilling ('81): A standout eight-time letter winner and elite distance runner, she secured three top-five state finishes across cross country and track.

Vicki Lawrence ('77): A versatile thirteen-time letter winner and YSU Hall of Famer, this pioneer was Lakeview’s first All-State female basketball player and a record-shattering multi-sport legend.

Dennis Whetstone ('76): An eight-time letter winner, Lakeview’s all-time leading rusher dominated with 2,948 career yards and 31 career touchdowns.

Ernie Grekis (Coach): Known as “The Master,” he coached for 31 years, leading the 1970 team to a State Championship.

Kenneth "Buzzy" Hood ('42): A versatile nine-time letter winner and elite sprinter, he dominated the track as a state qualifier while setting long-standing Bazetta records in the 440 and 880-yard dash.

Lee Stringer ('74): A historic ground-breaker, Lakeview’s first All-State player and 1,000-yard rusher earned six letters and remains second all-time with a dominant 270-yard single-game performance.

Michele Mellott Bonno ('77): An elite eleven-time letter winner, this triple-threat star set Lakeview’s pitching records while anchoring record-setting relay teams and earning multiple All-League honors across three sports. 

Wilbur “Bill” Springer ('45): An incredible twelve-time letter winner and professional baseball player, he achieved the rare feat of earning four varsity letters in three different sports throughout his career.

Glen McCaslin ('78): A seven-time letter winner and elite distance runner, this AA State Champion and five-time state finalist dominated the county with four individual titles.

David "Jack" Reese (Contributor): A visionary Booster President and the "Voice" of Lakeview’s first 10-0 season, he spent fifteen years tirelessly building the program and constructing Don Richards Field.

Ken Hyland ('64): Golf standout with a 16-0 career record and NAIA National Champion (1969).

Chris McDowell ('96): 1995 Trumbull County Player of the Year with 36 career touchdowns.

Anne Ughrin ('97): County Meet MVP and school record holder in the 5000m and 3200m.

Jim Chadwick (Contributor): Dedicated booster, twenty-year Little League coach, and long-term coordinator for Lakeview youth basketball.

Brian Borawiec ('88): School record holder in long jump (22' 3 1/2") and All-State football player.

Frank Newton ('67): Ten-letter winner and elite scorer with a 19.8-point average and All-County honors.

Ed Wajda (Coach): Championship coach and groundskeeper who led Lakeview to six titles over twenty seasons.

John Lowry (Coach): Thirteen-year Athletic Director and assistant coach for Lakeview’s legendary 10-0 undefeated team.

Lou DePofi (Contributor): Dedicated record-keeper and 1983 graduate who meticulously preserves Lakeview’s athletic history and media.

Eugene Rowley (Contributor): Lifelong community supporter, twenty-year track official, and dedicated twenty-five-year Special Olympics volunteer.

Paul Kopko (Coach): Seven-time league champion coach with 100 wins and multiple Coach of the Year honors. 

2014 & 2015 Girls Golf Teams – Back-to-back state appearances resulted in a state runner-up and a state championship.

1990s Track Booster Club – Contributors – A dedicated group instrumental in fundraising for the county’s first 8-lane all-weather track and for two decades of support through hosting prestigious meets.

Dave Christner – Contributor – Longtime supporter whose behind-the-scenes work made a lasting impact on Lakeview athletics.

Diane Neighbarger – Coach – Revered for her leadership and lasting influence on student-athletes.

Greg Solarz – Class of 1983 – Outstanding multi-sport athlete who left a mark on Bulldog baseball in the early '80s.

Laura Nochta – Class of 2006 – Distinguished golfer with state-level accomplishments.

Kyle Smedi – Class of 2008 – Punishing linebacker who was the heart and soul of the 2007 regional runner-up team.

Ben Moody – Class of 2009 – Record-setting two-sport champion whose speed and determination defined his career.

Lauren Schattinger – Class of 2012 – A dynamic sprinter and one of the most decorated athletes in Lakeview track and field history.
