Hello! My name is Shannon Haring. I have taught for Lakeview Schools for 15 wonderful years... I began my teaching career at Cortland Elementary, transitioned to Bazetta Elementary and now I am at our amazing PK-8 building. I am currently working as an Intervention Specialist within Third Grade. I spend much of my day supporting students in their general education classrooms. In addition, I co-teach, administer assessments and instruct intensive intervention in a small group setting.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Kent State University in 2005 and my Master's Degree in Reading Specialization, also from Kent State University, in 2010. I continue to supplement my personal education through a variety of professional development opportunities.
My husband and I built a new home in Cortland in 2020. We so look forward to settling in and can't wait to raise a family here.

In addition to my years teaching at Lakeview, I have taught at Auburn Community School District in Auburn, Illinois, Grand Valley Local Schools, and Buckeye Local Schools.
My husband is a teacher at Joseph Badger Local schools. We have two children, Ethan and Hannah. We enjoy watching them in all of their extra curricular activities including XC, volleyball, basketball, and track. In my free time, I love to read.
