Intervention Program

Welcome to the Lakeview Elementary Intervention website! Our staff is passionate about providing additional support to our students!

Mrs. Campana

My name is Michelle Campana. I graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education K-12 and Elementary Education 1-8. I have a Master's Degree in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College. I have been blessed to be an intervention specialist in the Lakeview School District since 1995 and am so lucky to have my own two little Bulldogs receiving their education here!

Mrs. Haring

Hello! My name is Shannon Haring. I have taught for Lakeview Schools for 15 wonderful years... I began my teaching career at Cortland Elementary, transitioned to Bazetta Elementary and now I am at our amazing PK-8 building. I am currently working as an Intervention Specialist within Third Grade. I spend much of my day supporting students in their general education classrooms. In addition, I co-teach, administer assessments and instruct intensive intervention in a small group setting.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Kent State University in 2005 and my Master's Degree in Reading Specialization, also from Kent State University, in 2010. I continue to supplement my personal education through a variety of professional development opportunities.

My husband and I built a new home in Cortland in 2020. We so look forward to settling in and can't wait to raise a family here.

Mrs. Faatz

I have been teaching for 25 years. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University and completed my special education coursework through Notre Dame College in Cleveland. In addition to my years teaching at Lakeview, I have taught at Auburn Community School District in Auburn, Illinois, Grand Valley Local Schools, and Buckeye Local Schools.

My husband is a teacher at Joseph Badger Local schools. We have two children, Ethan and Hannah. We enjoy watching them in all of their extra curricular activities including XC, volleyball, basketball, and track. In my free time, I love to read.

Miss Pishotti

My name is Taylor Pishotti and I am an Intervention Specialist at Lakeview Elementary School. I have worked in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classrooms and I enjoy every minute of it. I graduated from Lakeview myself in 2009. I completed my undergraduate degree at Youngstown State University in 2014 and my master's degree in 2016 at Capella University.

While my main purpose in the classroom is to support students with disabilities, that is not my only responsibility within the regular education classroom. In the regular education classroom I co-teach with the general education teacher which includes teaching lessons, assessments, grading, working with small groups, and assisting students.

I am fortunate enough to work with a great team of teachers here at Lakeview Elementary School and I look forward to seeing children grow throughout the school year. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding your child.

Mrs. Shackelford

My name is Maggie Shackelford. I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Penn State University. I have been the speech-language pathologist at Lakeview Elementary since 2014. I have a passion for helping others and love watching my students grow and develop every year! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and playing volleyball. I live in Cortland with my husband, George, and our four wonderful children: Jordan, Ethan, Brady, & Grant.
