FastBridge Testing
FastBridge combines Computer Adaptive Tests (CAT) and Curriculum-Based Measures (CBM) to screen students, identify skill gaps, and offer proven recommendations for reading instruction and diagnostic reading interventions. FASTBridge is comprised of five measures that function as indicators of the essential skills that every child must master to become a proficient reader: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. These measures are used to regularly monitor the development of early literacy skills in order to provide timely instructional support and prevent the occurrence of later reading difficulties. Within FASTBridge, there are a variety of assessments to assess students' literacy skills. At Lakeview, we currently utilize the earlyReading screener for K-1st students and the CBMreading screener for 2nd-6th students.Â
