The Rizal Shrine is currently owned by the Government of the Philippines, and so they are the ones who have the responsibility for the actions to be carried out to conserve it.
To give a more concrete plan, here are the processes or actions to be taken in preserving the beauty and setting of the Rizal Shrine:
The plan should start with the initial idea of the owner or the conservation team and their desired outcome regarding the conservation of the house.
Get a building permit to be able to legally conserve the site.
Consult and meet professionals such as engineers and architects. Discuss with them the size and goal of the project. These people know what actions are to be taken and what materials are to be used.
Hire contractors to start the conservation process.
Owners, professionals, and contractors will talk about the measures needed, the things in need for repair, the materials and equipment to be used, how much it will cost, and the time frame of the project.
Find a supplier. Then, prepare and buy the materials needed for the site’s conservation.
Keep the things that can be kept and preserved safe. If applicable, it may be put in a glass cabinet or glass case so people can still see it in the future.
a. Dr. Rizal’s personal belongings
b. Fixtures and furniture
Repair the things and structures in need.
Add a souvenir shop and a photo booth, but this will not be for free. Funds coming from these will be added to the site's budget for repairs and maintenance expenses.
After the construction, the Government of the Philippines should open it again to the public for free, especially for future generations to see, though they may still accept donations.
