Show your patriotic spirit

As we define our new normal in the COVID-19 pandemic, it is vital that we do not forget those normal traditions that we once took for granted. One of those traditions, is the Lakemoor July 4th Parade.

This year, we are tweaking our parade a bit. We are inviting all of our residents to celebrate their patriotic spirit by decking out their homes and front lawns as part of an Independence Day Parade of Homes decorating challenge!

The side of the house that is most visible from the street should be decorated. That way, the spectators by foot, bike or vehicles, will see the displays without having to exit their vehicles and safe social distancing guidelines are maintained.

All Neighborhoods are encouraged to participate.

Residents can enter to win great prizes by emailing a photo of your decorations along with your address to villagehall@lakemoor.net. Submission deadline is Friday, July 3, 2020 @ 5pm. Winner will be announced on Monday, July 6, 2020 on the Village website and on the Freinds of Lakemoor Facebook Page.
