Karyn Chicka- SUB PLANS- Monday, April 27th, 2026
Hello! Thank you for being here in my place today. I have wonderful students and I hope that you enjoy your day with them.
Here are some important notes:
Emergency Binder is located in the SUB BASKET on the side of my desk. This should be taken with you in the case of an evacuation and contains updated rosters of classes as well as other important materials you will need in an evacuation or emergency.
There is a Red Sub Folder that contains information such as important contacts, etc…
On the bottom of the basket are EMERGENCY SUB PLANS… Please do not use these unless I have not posted a plan in Google Classroom or do not have them specifically put on this document.
The use of cell phones by students is prohibited in the school. If you see any, take them and send them to the office by calling X1000 and asking for a hall monitor.
Only 1 student may have a pass at a time and they may not have it in the first or last 15 minutes of class.
I would appreciate any feedback you can give me on how each class period went.
Here’s the plan:
1st Hour AP Spanish:
Students have a work day today on their "Trabajo de Suenos" Project (posted in Google Classroom). Today they should complete the Job Application and begin the Classifed Ad components (specific directions for these are posted in Google Classroom).
2nd and 3rd Hour (B) Spanish IVB
Please pass back students' "Cuento de Ninos" (Children's books) that are clipped together in the basket to the left of my computer. They should use the first 20 minutes of class to read their books to 3 different partners (reading it in Spanish!). Please let them know this is practice for when they will read to small grooups in the class later this week. PLEASE RECOLLECT BOOKS AS THEY HAVE NOT YET BEEN GRADED!
With the remaining time, students will complete the Preterite v Imperfect EdPuzzle assignments posted in Google Classroom.
5th Hour ELL Lab: There is only one student in this lab and he may leave on his responsibility pass. If he does, he will not check in with you.
Monday Resource Period- Any student scheduled today should use it as a quiet catch up.
