Karyn Chicka- SUB PLANS- Wednesday, January 14th, 2026
Hello! Thank you for being here in my place today. I have wonderful students and I hope that you enjoy your day with them.
Here are some important notes:
Emergency Binder is located in the SUB BASKET on the side of my desk. This should be taken with you in the case of an evacuation and contains updated rosters of classes as well as other important materials you will need in an evacuation or emergency.
There is a Red Sub Folder that contains information such as important contacts, etc…
On the bottom of the basket are EMERGENCY SUB PLANS… Please do not use these unless I have not posted a plan in Google Classroom or do not have them specifically put on this document.
The use of cell phones by students is prohibited in the school. If you see any, take them and send them to the office by calling X1000 and asking for a hall monitor.
Only 1 student may have a pass at a time and they may not have it in the first or last 10 minutes of class.
I would appreciate any feedback you can give me on how each class period went.
Here’s the plan:
1st and 5th Hour Spanish IIA
All papers needed for today are located on top of my desk and all assignments are posted on Google Classroom. Students should complete (in this order) Assignments #15 and #16- due by the end of the hour and Assignment #17- due by the end of tomorrow's class (they will only have about 10 minutes tomorrow to complete). For Assignment #17 they may need to print in student services or use blank paper (on the top shelf of the poster shelf by the front window)
2nd Hour EL Lab
The only student currently assigned may chooose to leave on his responsibility pass, otherwise please assist him with classwork as needed. Please let him know that ACCESS testing will resume tomorrow if the testing app is updated.
SophomoreTB20 Please have students continue workng on their Flight Plan and remind them there are no clubs/activities tomorrow so they can continue working.
3rd Hour (B) AP Spanish
Please spread students out and pass out the Prueba:Subjuncitve Use and Formation that is on top of my desk. They may use ONLY their Subjunctive Flipbook notes to complete this quiz. (there is an example hanging on the board). No Chromebooks. If they have not completed their notes they still have to take the quiz. The only student exempt from quiz is Olivia unless she chooses to take it.
Students should then complete the worksheet passed out yesterday (Assignment #11 Subjunctive/Medical Vocabulary Worksheet- I have a copy for Gavin and Greta on the front table).
Finally, they will work on Assignment #12 which is an EdPuzzle posted on Google Classroom.
There may be an extra worksheet in the stacks on my desk which they do not yet need to complete.
