My Background and Beliefs about Physical Education

My name is Thomas Weinkauf. I am originally from Merrill, WI. I graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a major in Physical Education, a minor in Health, and currently working towards my Adapted Physical Education Certificate or APE. I look forward to meeting and working with everyone in this school!

Physical Education is important to me because I believe it is a vital part to a students learning as a whole. Most people believe PE is simply rolling out a ball, running laps, or lifting in a weight room. It is much more than that. PE helps students decide what physical activity they like best, develop soft skills like teamwork and communication, and engage in an enhancing level of fitness.
