Hello everyone! My name is Leslie Thompson, and I’m delighted to be your teacher this year. I hold a degree in PreK-6th grade education as well as special education. Teaching is not just my job; it’s my passion, especially when it comes to working with students who have special needs. I believe that every child deserves to be seen, heard, and supported, and as a special education teacher, I’m committed to being a voice for those who need one.
Being a special education teacher is incredibly important to me because it allows me to make a real difference in the lives of my students. I’m here to ensure that every child, no matter their challenges, has the opportunity to succeed and feel confident in their abilities. I strive to create a classroom where diversity is celebrated, and where every student’s unique strengths are recognized and nurtured.
I live in the Northwoods with my husband and our three boys. We love spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking, boating, or just enjoying the beauty of nature together. I’m looking forward to getting to know each of you and making this a wonderful and rewarding year for all of us!
