Every night your child should have math practice and reading each night.
Spelling: Your child has a spelling notebook dedicated to practicing each day, but for the most part, this will stay in class. We will be adapting lists dependent on their levels and applying to a majority of words rather than memorizing a list of 20.
Math: Most nights, we will have a math practice out of their math workbooks. If your child forgot their math workbook, you can print out the work page online by signing into their Journey's account. There are multiple videos and textbook resources available through the site. Go to "Useful Links" to login.
Reading: Every night your child should be reading 20 minutes. There are going to be nights that they are required to read a book at their level and other nights where they are free to read a magazine, picture book, or something more enjoyable.
Additional work: There may be additional projects throughout the year for social studies and science that your child will be asked to work on at home. If a student does not complete daily practice in class, they are also required to finish it that night for homework so that they do not fall behind.
Spelling city: additional spelling practice from the weekly list.
