Since I was a child I have always known I wanted to be a teacher! Working with children is so rewarding! This is my second year at Lakehurst. I graduated from Montclair State University, where I studied Educational Foundations for Elementary Teachers. I grew up in North Jersey, and recently moved to Seaside Park. I love being so close to the beach!
When I am not teaching, I am taking spin classes, reading psychological thrillers, playing with my dog, or cooking/baking.
A few of my favorite things:
Color: Pink
Food: Tacos
Drink: Iced coffee
Hobbies: cycling, reading, painting, and playing with my dog, Marley.
Stores: Amazon
Sport: Football and Baseball- Giants and Yankees!
Class Rules
Rule #1- Raise your hand to speak or stand.
Rule #2- Keep hands and feet to yourself.
Rule #3- Be safe and honest.
Rule #4- Listen when the teacher is talking.
Rule #5- Follow directions quickly.
Rule #6- Keep your dear teacher happy.
Classroom Management
Students begin everyday with a green card. If I have to speak to a student 3 times for not following our class rules, they move to a yellow card. If I have to speak to them 2 more times, they move to a red card. Once a student is moved to red card, I contact home, and they will lose free time on "Fun Friday."
I also give and take away points throughout the day to students through ClassDojo. Once the class, as a whole, reaches 100 points, they will receive a class party.

Lunch is available to all students at LES. Lunch orders are taken the day before. Please discuss the lunch options with your child for the next day. The menu is posted on the school website. You may also send your child to school with lunch if you choose. Lunch money sent to school should be sent in an envelope or baggie with your child's name and the amount enclosed.

I assign a homework choice board each week. I send it home on Friday, and they need to be returned on Friday. Students can pick one activity a night to complete. I encourage all students to be read to nightly to help expand their vocabulary and comprehension.
Some projects that we do may require the students to work on them at home.
If the students receive an "Uh-oh" note they did not finish the work during class time, and it needs to be completed at home.
"Take Home" folders and planners will go home each night and need to be returned each day.
You will be able to view your child’s report card using the parent portal. Please be advised that when you create an account, the page will not reflect any grades. When the portal opens for the entire district, you will be able to view the grades.
