Meet the Teacher

Mrs. Sanchez

2018-2019

Hello. My name is Danielle Sanchez and this is my first year teaching at Lakehurst Elementary School. I graduated from Monmouth University with a B.A. in Special Education (P-3) and Anthropology. During my first two years of teaching, I was a Third Grade General Education Teacher, a Fourth Grade Social Studies Teacher, a Third through Fifth Grade Reading Enrichment Specialist, and a Resource Teacher. For the past ten years, my primary focus has been in the Special Education field. Many of my years at my previous school were spent in an ABA preschool program, however I also have experience with inclusion and resource. My goal as a teacher is to create and enhance lessons and activities to encourage independence and promote success both in and out of the classroom.

When I am not in the classroom, I am home being a Mommy to my two sons, Mason, who will be four this October and Dominic who is a year and a half. My husband and I live in Jackson and we have two dogs. For fun, I like to swim in my pool, play with my boys at the park, go to the boardwalk, and spend time crafting.

I am extremely excited about this upcoming school year and I look forward to teaching in this wonderful district.
