F.I.S.H. Binder

(Family Involvement Starts Here)

This year will look like no other. I never in a million years would have expected that I would be teaching during a global pandemic as I'm sure you never thought your child would start his/her first grade year this way. I am going to tell you, I am up for the challenge! We will make the best of what this year brings whether your child is hybrid or remote.

We are switching it up a bit this year and using a communication binder. It is called a F.I.S.H binder (family involvement starts here). The purpose of this binder is to help your child learn the valuable lesson of being responsible and organized. This will be an awesome tool for parents to find your child's work in an organized manner.

  • If you have a Hybrid A student, the binder will come home on Tuesday and will remain home until your child returns to school on Monday. All of his/her Remote Learning activities will be in this binder.

  • If you have a Hybrid B student, the F.I.S.H. binder will come home on Friday and will remain home until your child returns to school on Thursday. All of his/her Remote Learning activities will be in this binder.

  • All students are remote on Wednesday's. Please use Google Classroom to guide you through the day's activities. Your child will be using the F.I.S.H. binder at some point in the day to complete work assigned.

  • Any notes, lunch money or something to send to school, please place it in the front purple folder labeled "Communication"

**Your child's F.I.S.H binder should last all year. Please help your child treat their binder with respect by not drawing on it or eating near it. This is a wonderful tool to help your child become a responsible and organized student. Thank you in advance! :)
