Lake County Schools is pleased to announce a new traditional K-8 school opening soon! 

A new school for kindergarten through 8th grade is planned for the Hills of Minneola in the City of Minneola. 

Minneola Horizon Academy K-8 will require an attendance boundary adjustment to be effective in August 2025, as we relieve crowding at the area schools and address projected student population growth. This redistricting will not affect the enrollment of any student currently attending charter schools or any student who wants to attend a charter school. 

The Lake County School Board reviewed several boundary options and approved Option 9.
