Participation in La Junta Jr/Sr High School Tiger Theatre is open to all Jr and Sr high school students  in the Arkansas Valley.

Our Mission

We strive to provide students with a professional theater experience,  in a positive, safe, and creative environment.

Maintain an intellectually challenging and stimulating curriculum and professional productions.

Encourage students to see other performances.

Enhance students' learning experience by offering courses which are informed by the Colorado Standards of Excellence in Theatre.

Enable students to gain practical experience of performance and theatre crafts within an academic context.

Attract students with a passion for the performing arts and foster that passion.

Tiger Theatre presents two main stage productions each year. A stage craft  and drama class is offered through LJHS. 

Our educational classes train students in the area of acting, directing, play writing and stage craft. Classes often compete in area one-act competitions and perform improv and evening entertainment.

If you live in or around the Arkansas Valley area, we would love to have you join us in the audience for an upcoming show.

With our large open thrust theater, high production values, and talented company onstage, we believe you will find La Junta High School’s productions to be well worth the price of admission.
