Mrs. Warfield

Hi class! I am your teacher, Mrs. Warfield and I have been teaching in La Habra City School District for thirty years. I began my teaching career at Ladera Palma in 1996 as a second grade teacher for my first sixteen years. The past fourteen years I have been teaching kindergarten and absolutely love working with these little young minds. During the reconfiguration, I transitioned to Sierra Vista and will be starting my eighth year at our No Excuses University School.

As a member of the La Habra Educational Association, I have been the Vice President of the Teachers' Association and a member of the District Bargaining Team for the past thirteen years. I have also served on the District LCAP Committee, Reopening Schools Task Force, TEC committee and served on the Universal Pre Kindergarten (UPK) team.

I have been married for twenty-eight years to my husband John who is a Regional Manager for Boston Scientific. Our son Spencer graduated from Servite High School, played baseball and basketball, and has studied abroad in China through their International Mandarin Leadership Program. He graduated from Valporaiso University and played D1 baseball all four years. Our daughter Isabella gradauted from Orange County School of the Arts in the Commercial Dance Conservatory and was a MONTAGE Ambassador for OCSA. She is in her third year at UC Berkeley studying economics and dances on the Cal Dance Team as a captain. We also have two thirteen year old Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers named Duncan and Lola. They serve as our class pets and like to send the kids messages.

I absolutely love the teaching profession, look forward to meeting my new students, and can't wait for the school year to begin!

¡Hola clase! Soy su maestra, la D.ª Warfield y he estado enseñando en el Distrito Escolar de La Habra durante treinta años. Comencé mi carrera docente en Ladera Palma en 1996 como maestra de segundo grado durante mis primeros dieciséis años. Los últimos catorce años he estado enseñando jardín de infantes y me encanta trabajar con estas pequeñas mentes jóvenes. Durante la reconfiguración, hice la transición a Sierra Vista y comenzaré mi octavo año en nuestra Escuela Universitaria No Excuses.

Como miembro de la Asociación Educativa La Habra, he sido vicepresidente de la Asociación de Maestros y miembro del Equipo de Negociación del Distrito durante los últimos trece años. También he servido en el Comité del Distrito LCAP, el Grupo de Trabajo de Reapertura de Escuelas, el comité de TEC y he servido en el equipo Universal Pre Kindergarten (UPK).

He estado casado por veintiocho años con mi esposo John, quien es gerente regional de Boston Scientific. Nuestro hijo Spencer se graduó de la escuela secundaria Servite, jugó béisbol y baloncesto, y ha estudiado en el extranjero en China a través de su Programa Internacional de Liderazgo en Mandarín. Se graduó de la Universidad de Valporaiso y jugó béisbol D1 durante los cuatro años. Nuestra hija Isabella se graduó de la Escuela de Artes del Condado de Orange en el Conservatorio de Danza Comercial y fue embajadora de MONTAJE para la OCSA. Ella está en su tercer año en UC Berkeley estudiando economía y danzas en el equipo de baile de Cal como capitana. También tenemos dos Terriers de trigo de revestimiento suave de trece años llamados Duncan y Lola. Sirven como nuestras mascotas de clase y les gusta enviar mensajes a los niños.

Me encanta la profesión docente, espero conocer a mis nuevos estudiantes, y no puedo esperar a que comience el año escolar!
