WELCOME FROM THE TEACHER

Hello, my name is Matt Bridgeford, and it is my privilege to teach United States History to your daughter/son this year. As a resident of La Habra and a teacher at Washington Middle School for 25 years, I am very invested in this community, it's schools, and it's students. I look forward to helping your child succeed this year, and to learn the early history of our nation.

Following the state standards, we will be learning about the founding of the nation, the creation and structure of our government, the westward growth of the nation, and the events dividing the nation to the point of Civil War. All of these topics will be taught with an emphasis on So what does this mean for us now? I look forward to getting to know each of you this year as we all work together.
