¡Estoy entusiasmada de ser la maestra de su hijo/a y comenzar mi undécimo año como maestra! He enseñado doble inmersión durante 10 años. Comencé mi carrera de maestra en Memphis, Tennessee, donde enseñé primero y fui la maestra fundadora de segundo grado. Luego de enseñar en Memphis por 3 años, me mudé al norte de California y enseñé durante 3 años en 2º grado. Después de 6 años regrese al sur de California y me incorporé al programa de doble inmersión con LHCSD donde he sido maestra de 2º, 3º y 4º grado. Estoy emocionada de embarcar en este nuevo año escolar y continuar construyendo relaciones con mis estudiantes, familias y comunidad. Espero despertar el amor por la lectura, la pasión por el lenguaje y desarrollar conciencia cultural con mis alumnos.

Maestra Ortiz

I’m excited to be your child's teacher and begin my 11th year in teaching! I have taught dual immersion for 10 years. My teaching career began in Memphis, Tennessee, where I taught for 3 years in 1st grade and was the founding teacher for 2nd grade. I then moved to Northern California and taught 2nd grade for 3 years. I returned home to Southern California after 6 years and joined the dual immersion program at LHCSD. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. I’m excited to embark on this new school year and continue to build relationships with my students, families, and community. I hope to spark the love for reading, a passion for language, and cultural awareness among my students.
