Teaching is the best job ever! My mom, grandmother, and great grandparents were all educators. I guess it is in my blood. I have been at Walnut Elementary School since 1996 as a 3rd grade teacher! I attended Cal Poly Pomona where I received my Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies Elementary Education. I later earned my Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis on Reading.

However, I am not just a teacher, I am a wife and mom too! No, I don't live or sleep in my classroom. I have two boys; Cole is a freshman in college at NAU and Nate is a junior La Habra High School. Our newest family members are our rescue dogs Smokey and Bandit. They are keeping the whole family busy. We love watching them play and tackle each other on a daily basis.

I am excited for our year to come and can't wait to meet all of you!

¡Enseñar es el mejor trabajo de todos! Mi mamá, mi abuela y mis bisabuelos eran todos educadores. Supongo que está en mi sangre. ¡He estado en la escuela primaria Walnut desde 1996 como maestra de tercer grado! Asistí a Cal Poly Pomona, donde recibí mi licenciatura en Educación Primaria de Estudios Liberales. Más tarde obtuve mi Maestría en Educación con énfasis en lectura.

Sin embargo, no solo soy maestra, ¡también soy esposa y madre! No, no vivo ni duermo en mi clase :) Tengo dos hijos; uno asiste a college y el otro a La Habra. Siempre es divertido en la casa de Forquer cuando escuchas a uno de mis muchachos comentando sobre lo mejor que es su escuela que el otro. Nuestros nuevos miembros de la familia son Smokey y Bandit. Los rescatamos en la primavera durante el aprendizaje a distancia. Mantienen a toda la familia ocupada. Nos encanta verlos jugar y enfrentarse diariamente.

¡Estoy emocionado por nuestro próximo año y no puedo esperar para conocerlos a todos!
