After graduating from Harlingen High School, I joined the US Army and served as Combat Medic for seven years in the US Army Reserve. I attended the Lower Rio Grande Valley Police Academy at TSTC - Harlingen and worked as Police Officer for the City of San Benito for 16 years. My law enforcement career at SBPD allowed for many experiences and opportunities which included Patrol Officer, Senior Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Detective, Narcotics Investigator, K-9 Handler, Public Information Officer, Community Resource Officer, SWAT Operator, and Asst Team Leader SWAT.

In 2016 I made a decision to make the switch to teaching and attended ACT-RGV to obtain my alternative teachers certificate. In 2016 I started my teaching career here at La Feria High School, teaching a field I have great love and respect for.
